About the K-12 Advisory Council
The East Asia National Resource Center (NRC) at The George Washington University welcomes applications for its K-12 Advisory Council program.
K-12 educators with specializations or interests in East Asian languages, history, and culture will serve as advisory council members, collaborating with NRC staff to develop curriculum materials and workshops. Council members will receive an honorarium of $1000 in appreciation for their contributions to the program.
Interested educators should indicate in the application which classes they currently teach or will be teaching that incorporate East Asian languages, history, and culture. Please give a brief description of proposed activities with the NRC. This is an ideal opportunity for educators to recieve outside support for turning their ideas into usable curriculum plans and materials!
Application Process
To apply, fill out the K-12 EAS Advisory Council application form and submit to lisa.lackney@gwu.edu. NRC staff may request additional information or references, as needed.
